艾玛·库克 is the Senior Program Specialist for the 宣传 & 正义的诊所 at the D.C. 酒吧公益中心. 在这个角色中, she conducts intake for clinic clients 和 coordinates their placement with pro bono attorneys. She also develops internal processes, administers surveys to gather data on client 和 volunteer attorney experiences, 和 contributes to several special projects. In addition to her work with the 宣传 & 正义的诊所, Emma helps administer probono.net/dc 和 LawHelp.org/DC.

Prior to joining the 公益性服务 Center, Emma worked as a paralegal at Rosen, Bien, Galvan & Grunfeld, a law firm in San Francisco. 虽然, she worked on civil class action litigation on behalf of people with mental health needs incarcerated in California’s prisons 和 jails. Her work focused on improving mental health treatment, advocating for reforms to the disciplinary system, 和 ending correctional staff abuse of people with disabilities.

Emma holds a bachelor’s degree in political science 和 sociology from Johns Hopkins University.
